Dr. Kenneth combines deep clinical experience with a calm, kind, and respectful manner. He takes time to understand each patient fully through thorough history taking and detailed assessment, allowing him to develop treatment plans that are both targeted and holistic.
He is never judgmental and always works in a way that respects the views, concerns, and feelings of patients and their families. His goal is to provide effective, practical, and compassionate support that helps patients achieve the best possible results.

Clinical Background

Dr. Kenneth worked in the UK NHS in a range of specialties before beginning his psychiatric training in 1995. He went on to work across Scotland and London, gaining broad specialist training and consultant experience in psychiatric emergencies, psychiatric intensive care, forensic psychiatry, inpatient care, and outpatient treatment.
Since moving to Dubai in January 2017, he has worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist in two leading private clinics in Jumeirah. In December 2021, he joined First Psychiatry Clinic.

Teaching and Professional Training

Alongside his clinical work, Dr. Kenneth has been actively involved in psychiatric teaching and training. He taught psychiatry to medical students and psychiatry trainees and contributed to medical school clinical examinations.
He also supervised both junior and senior psychiatry trainees. For three years, he served as Regional Training Programme Director and Educational Supervisor for the North of Scotland Deanery, supporting up to 15 psychiatric Higher Trainees each year.

Dr. Kenneth sees patients aged 17 years and above with a wide range of mental health symptoms and conditions, except where the main diagnosis is an eating disorder.

While he does not provide formal ADHD or ASD assessments, he is very experienced in prescribing ADHD medication for patients who already hold a formal ADHD diagnosis report.
